Faith in Humanity: Valley group offers retreat to support, encourage women

A Phoenix-area group has made supporting and encouraging women through retreats its mission.

Hopelifters Unlimited was founded by Kathe Wunnenberg in 2005 when she was going through a trying time. She would take small groups of women on weekend retreats to help them through discouragement or life losses.

In 2010, thanks to demand, Wunnenberg expanded her retreats to a luxury bus that would whisk women away for a one-day trip with a heavy emphasis on faith.

The group accepts online donations to help fund the retreats.
