Faith in Humanity: Scottsdale workshops mentor thousands each year
Growing up can be tough, but surrounding kids with the right kind of people can make it much easier on them.
Growing up can be tough, but surrounding kids with the right kind of people can make it much easier on them.
A Scottsdale, Arizona group helps that process along, pairing kids with mentors in Workshops for Youth and Families.
The group provides mentoring programs for about 1,200 kids aged 9-19 throughout the year. The group found peer-to-peer mentoring works the best, as children tend to relate and trust someone their own age.
