Epic ‘Star Wars’ screening prank puts unsuspecting fan as star of film
Blaine Gibson, the self-professed "biggest 'Star Wars' fan in the world," was surprised by his co-workers with an early screening of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Unfortunately for him, the film wasn't quite what he had hoped.
Let’s be honest: everyone is at least a little excited for the premiere of the latest “Star Wars” film.
Well, nobody was more excited than Blaine Gibson, self-professed “biggest ‘Star Wars’ fan in the world.”
Gibson is such a big fan, in fact, that his co-workers decided to use his fandom against him, pulling off a prank of epic proportions. Gibson’s co-workers surprised him with an early screening of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” but it wasn’t exactly what he had hoped.
Even better, the screening came with a catch: In order to prove himself, Gibson had to film footage dressed as different characters and promote the event on his social media accounts, mainly Instagram and Twitter.
While Gibson unfortunately did not get to see the film early, at least he does not have to wait long! “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” hits theaters beginning Thursday night.
