Citizens line up to hug Dallas police officers

Citizens lined up to hug a group of police officers attempting to do their duty following the deadly attack in Dallas during a Black Lives Matter protest.

The day followed an ambush attack on Dallas police officers during a Black Lives Matter protest has been one of mourning and healing.

While everything about the deadliest day for law enforcement since 9/11 came out of hate, the recovery in the Dallas community already showed signs that hate won’t win out.

“You guys have a hard job, man. Hang in there,” one man tells Dallas officers in a video taken Thursday.

Citizens lined up to hug, console and offer their support for a group of police officers attempting to do their duty following the attack on their brothers and sisters a day prior.

“There haven’t been scenes like this since 9/11,” said a member of the media standing nearby, “police officers and first-responders being embraced and applauded by people of all color from across the city.”
