All about that bass: Young girl catches huge fish with Barbie fishing pole

Talk about girl power!

A young girl named Avery recently took the fishing world by storm when she caught a five-pound bass all on her own — with a Barbie fishing pole, nevertheless.

According to Buzzfeed News, Avery was “all about that bass” when she reeled in her first catch ever on a fishing trip with her father, Ram.

Ram said at first he thought his daughter was playing a trick on him, but soon enough he helped her reel in a catch that would make a longtime fisherman very proud.

“I thought she was playing me,” he said in an interview with Buzzfeed News. “Then the reel let out some drag, so I grabbed my phone to tape. By the end I was so excited for her, and I could not wait to show her the video. I was really proud.”
