They were elected to statewide office in Arizona in the last election.

That they are both women, is not remarkable in recent Arizona History.

That they are both Democrats elected to statewide office in Arizona, however, is noteworthy.

Each has been in office for about five weeks.

We check in and ask Secretary of State Katie Hobbs and Superintendent of Public Instruction Kathy Hoffman about a number of pressing issues, with special reference to their take on the current legislative session.

The Think Tank airs on KTAR News 92.3 FM on Sunday at 1-2 p.m. and repeats at 9-10 p.m.
