Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton takes Ice Bucket Challenge

Aug 15, 2014, 1:14 PM | Updated: 4:39 pm

PHOENIX — Mayor Greg Stanton ended up drenched Wednesday, but it had nothing to do with the recent rain.

Stanton became the latest public figure to take on the now-famous Ice Bucket Challenge, a craze that’s sweeping the Internet.

The challenge is simple: You just pour a bucket of ice water over your head and challenge other people to take it when you post it on social media. It’s all in fun and raises both funds and awareness for ALS, a neurological disease.

Stanton didn’t complete the task alone. He recruited a couple of firefighter to help him out.

After you watch Stanton take the challenge, be sure to check out our own Mac & Gaydos doing it!

We want to hear from you.
