PHOENIX — A witness to the confrontation between a crowd and Tucson police Saturday night captured video of a police officer knocking down a young woman who did not appear to be among the rioters.

Other witnesses can be heard cursing during the incident, wondering why the young woman was targeted.

The melee took place after the University of Arizona lost to Wisconsin in the NCAA Tournament in Anaheim, Calif.

The Tucson Police Department said it would review the video.
