Arizona Sen. John McCain is not mincing words when it comes to the current Syrian refugee crisis.
In a television appearance on “Andrea Mitchell Reports” on MSNBC, McCain said he does relate to the struggles entire families are having as a father and believes the situation is heartbreaking. Still, he said it is doubly-heartbreaking, because he believes the crisis “didn’t have to happen” and blames President Obama’s “failed policies” in the Middle East.
McCain said the United States needs to establish a no-fly zone and shoot down any of Syria President Bashar Assad’s aircraft that bomb refugees, according to the Daily Caller.
McCain ended the interview by saying, “It’s an abdication of American responsibility which has caused this tragedy, and it’s on the hands of Barack Obama.”
