New Fry’s Marketplace store set to open in Gilbert

PHOENIX — Fry’s Food Stores is set to open a new Marketplace location in Gilbert early next year.

The 125,621-square-foot will open at Elliot and Power roads on Jan. 8, 2025. The opening date was originally announced as Dec. 4, but it was pushed back.

“We’re thrilled to bring Fry’s Food Stores to Gilbert’s beautiful Morrison Ranch Community,” Monica Garnes, president of Fry’s Food Stores, said in a press release. “Our associates are excited to deliver our internal motto of full, fresh and friendly’ to our new neighbors at this highly anticipated new location.”

What will be at the grand opening of new Fry’s grocery store?

The new store will feature the following amenities:

  • Murray’s Cheese shop will feature a selection of cheeses from around the world.
  • Sushi station will offer a variety of grab-and-go rolls and nigiri as well as full-service ordering options.
  • A wine department with a wine steward to assist with selection.
  • Starbucks baristas will create the full range of coffees, teas, and snacks the public loves.
  • A Pharmacy that will provide prescription services including prescription transfers, a line of vaccinations, same-day delivery service and a drive-thru.
  • Apparel department featuring clothing from Fry’s Dip label, as well as other name-brand clothing, shoes and accessories.
  • Housewares department will feature kitchen essentials and home trends.
  • Pickup services for ordering groceries online.
  • Fuel Center will have 20 pumping stations and will be open to serve customers 24 hours a day.
