West Phoenix shooting leaves 1 dead, 2 critically injured

PHOENIX — A man is dead and two others were left critically injured after a west Phoenix shooting on Wednesday morning, according to authorities.
Officers responded to a shooting call in a neighborhood near Hubbell Street and 47th Avenue around 1:45 a.m. and learned of three gunshot victims, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Raphael Rangel, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Phoenix Fire Department responders arrived and took the other two victims to a hospital where they underwent surgery for life-threatening-injuries, according to authorities.
Detectives took over the investigation, which is ongoing.
Investigators talked to witnesses but do not know the motive for the shooting.
