Annual Halloween Monster Bash returns to Peoria this weekend

PHOENIX — Monster Bash is making its annual return to Peoria this weekend.

The Peoria Sports Complex, on the corner of 83rd Avenue and Bell Road, will be hosting the free Halloween-themed event from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Saturday featuring entertainment and activities for all ages.

“Peoria’s Halloween Monster Bash is the place to be this Halloween,” Director of Arts, Culture and Library Services Marylou Stephens said in a release. “Not only is it a safe place for kids to trick or treat, but it is also a family-friendly event where there is something for everyone to enjoy.”

What activities will Halloween Monster Bash offer?

A costume contest, trick-or-treating, character visits, circus acts, the Superhero BMX Stunt Team, reptile and insect exhibits, inflatable slides and obstacle courses, laser tag and a photo and video booth are some of the activities the event will offer.

Food and beverages will also be available for purchase.

Monster March Costume Contest

The Monster March Costume Contest is back again with prizes for all ages.

A panel of judges will award trophies to the top three places in each age group for the scariest, funniest, cutest and most original costumes.

No prior registration is required for the contest and participants can sign up on the main stadium field before the following start times:

Groups & Start Times
5:30 PM: 0-2 years old
5:45 PM: 3-4 years old
6:00 PM: 5 years old
6:15 PM: 6 years old
6:30 PM: 7 & 8 years old
6:45 PM: 9 & 10 years old
7:00 PM – Family/Group
