Tim Walz returning to Arizona to campaign for Democratic ticket

PHOENIX — Vice presidential candidate Tim Walz is returning to Arizona this weekend to woo undecided voters and encourage early voting, the Democratic campaign announced Tuesday.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate will be in Arizona on Saturday, just 10 days before the Nov. 5 general election.

Walz will first appear at an event in Window Rock — on the Navajo Nation — before being joined by actor George Lopez and political strategist and commentator Ana Navarro for an evening rally in Phoenix.

On Saturday night, he’ll fly to Nevada to continue a swing through two key Sunbelt states.

The last time he was in Arizona, Walz appeared at events in the Valley and Tucson on Oct. 9.

Meanwhile, Republican vice presidential hopeful JD Vance was in Arizona for two campaign events on Tuesday. Former President Donald Trump’s running mate appeared at TYR Tactical in Peoria and held a rally at the Pima County Fairgrounds in Tucson.

All four members of the Democratic and Republican tickets have made multiple trips to Arizona, one of the key battleground states in this year’s presidential race. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will be back on Oct. 31 for an event with Tucker Carlson in Glendale.

In addition to the candidates, both campaigns have been sending high-profile surrogates to Arizona.

In fact, former President Bill Clinton and Donald Trump Jr. were both in State 48 on Wednesday.

The 42nd U.S. president participated in two Harris-Walz events in Phoenix.

Meanwhile, the Republican nominee’s eldest son campaigned at a Team Trump on Tour event at Pecan Lake Entertainment in Queen Creek.
