PHOENIX — Thirsty Lion is scheduled to open its fifth location in the Valley on Oct. 8 at Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale.
The restaurant, which spans 12,654 square feet, is located at the intersection of Entertainment and Sunset boulevards. It will be able to accommodate up to 515 people.
The two-story location features a main dining area with a center bar and an outdoor patio on the ground floor.
A covered, open-air rooftop patio, bar and dining area on the second level will open in early November.
In a press release detailing the restaurant’s opening, Thirsty Lion dubbed this location its “crown jewel” of all its Valley locations.
“This new restaurant is a culmination of a dream since opening back in 2011,” John Plew, president and CEO of Thirsty Lion, said in the release. “We are thrilled to bring our latest design to the West Valley because it is a thriving area with strong businesses, services and a great community around it.”
Offering lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, daily happy hour and event space, Thirsty Lion recently was named one of the “Top 100 under 100 Emerging Brands” by Nations Restaurant News.
As part of its grand opening, Thirsty Lion will partner with Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley, with a portion of all dessert sales going directly to support its mission.
“We’re deeply grateful to Thirsty Lion for their generous support of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley through the opening of their new location,” Marcia Mintz, president and CEO of Boys and Girls Clubs of the Valley, said in the release. “This partnership exemplifies the power of local businesses giving back to the community. Together, we can create more opportunities for our youth to thrive.”
