Goodyear Police arrest man for allegedly pointing a gun at multiple people

PHOENIX – An arrest was made by the Goodyear Police Department’s Special Assignment Unit on Thursday in regards to an Arizona man accused of pointing a gun at multiple people, according to authorities.
Jeremiah Barnes, 24, was arrested after being found by police a day after he allegedly committed the aggravated assault.
On Wednesday, Goodyear Police responded to a call near McDowell Road and Pebble Creek Parkway of a suspect pointing a gun at people. Police created a perimeter and searched the area but Barnes had fled the scene before the police arrived.
The search for Barnes continued into the night and into Thursday morning. Officers eventually found Barnes in the evening and booked him into the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Jail.
The case is an ongoing investigation.
