PHOENIX — An Arizona man suffered from multiple gunshot wounds while at a west Phoenix house party on Sunday morning, officials said.

The Phoenix Police Department said officers arrived at around 3:30 a.m. to a home in the area of Buckeye Road and 83rd Avenue.

Officers who arrived at the house party heard multiple gunshot wounds, police said. Multiple cars also allegedly fled from the scene of the crime when they saw police.

“Two vehicles were stopped,” Sgt. Robert Scherer told KTAR News 92.3 FM via email. “Several people were detained.”

What happened to the man injured at a west Phoenix house party?

Officials transported the victim to a local hospital, Scherer said.

“The man has injuries that are now considered non-life threatening,” he said.

As of 11:30 a.m., detectives are still investigating the incident.

Officials have not yet disclosed the details describing what happened before the shooting.
