Interstate 17 closure in Phoenix among restrictions on Valley roadways

PHOENIX — Multiple freeway restrictions, including a closure in north Phoenix and at Sky Harbor Airport, are set to occur this weekend.
In north Phoenix, northbound Interstate 17 will be closed from Greenway Road to Northern Avenue from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a pavement improvement project, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
In the East Valley, eastbound US 60 Superstition Freeway will be closed from Country Club Drive to Gilbert Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a pavement improvement project. The eastbound US 60 on-ramps at Dobson and Alma School roads will also be closed.
Near Sky Harbor Airport, southbound State Route 143 will be closed between the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway and Interstate 10 between 10 p.m. Friday and 4 a.m. Monday for a traffic shift as part of the new 48th Street bridge work. The eastbound I-10 on-ramp at 48th Street will also be closed.

The I-10 on-ramp to the US 60 in Tempe will be closed for construction from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday, as well as the westbound I-10 on-ramps at Baseline and Broadways roads.
Eastbound Loop 303 will be closed between Lake Pleasant Parkway and I-17 from 4 a.m. Saturday to 7 p.m. Sunday for new interchange construction.
Finally, the southbound I-17 frontage road between McDowell Road and Van Buren Street will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
