PHOENIX — Planet Fitness is getting pumped up with two new metro Phoenix locations.

The gym chain opened its second Goodyear club on Tuesday and will boost its presence in Gilbert in the coming weeks.

The new Goodyear gym is located on the northeast corner of Litchfield Road and Van Buren Street.

Gilbert’s fifth Planet Fitness will open soon on McQueen Road just south of Guadalupe Road.

The gyms feature cardio machines, strength equipment, a cardio theater with flat-screen TVs and locker rooms with showers.

Membership plans start at $10 per month. The new clubs are offering specials for a limited time on the PF Black Card level, which is regularly $24.99 a month.

Black Card perks include access to the gyms’ Black Card Spas and the option of bringing a guest on every visit.

The additions are operated by United FP, the Valley’s largest Planet Fitness franchisee. With the latest openings, United FP will run 42 of the the brand’s 45 metro Phoenix clubs.

“We are dedicated to bringing the most convenient and state-of-the-art fitness center to the Greater Phoenix area with the amazing support from the community here.” Emily Torpey, United FP regional director, said in a press release. “We invite the local community to come in for a tour.”
