PHOENIX — Four-time Grammy Award winner Sam Smith is bringing their new tour to Footprint Center in Phoenix later this year.

Smith’s “GLORIA the tour” with special guest Jessie Reyez will take place Sept. 3, with tickets going on sale to the general public on Friday at 9 a.m.

It marks Smith’s first North American tour since 2018 and their third appearance in the Valley, the previous two taking place at Desert Diamond Arena – Gila River Arena at the time – in 2015 and 2018.

“This is going to be so special, it’s been too long sailors,” Smith said on Instagram announcing the North American tour. “Can’t wait to see all your gorgeous faces and celebrate the era of GLORIA together.”

The tour promotes Smith’s fourth studio album, Gloria, which is set to release on Jan 27.

The English singer and songwriter is known across various genres of music and has seven songs that have reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, including “Stay with Me” and “Dancing with A Stranger.”

Smith’s song “Unholy,” which is part of the new album, rose to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in October and spent 14 weeks on the chart.

The 27-city North American tour gets underway in Miami on July 23 and concludes in Ciudad De Mexico in September 2023.
