Immersive Monet and The Impressionists returns to the Valley for another run

Jan 7, 2023, 3:00 PM

PHOENIX — Those who missed Immersive Monet and The Impressionists have another chance to experience the art exhibit as it has returned to the Valley for a limited time after a successful run in 2022.

The first showing was Friday at Lighthouse ArtSpace Phoenix in Old Town Scottsdale (4301 N. Scottsdale Rd.) and tickets for future shows can be purchased online starting at $29.99

The art exhibit features more than 500,000 cubic feet of projections comprised of 1.2 million frames showcasing the iconic works of 18 artists, including Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir and Mary Cassatt.

“Claude Monet and the Impressionists are inspirational leaders in art history, and the feedback we received on this immersive experience was unlike any other,” Vito Iaia, founding partner of Impact Museums, said in a press release.

“The spontaneity of Impressionism is expressed in the use of color and movement, both of which are wonderfully presented by our state-of-the-art projection systems. As Monet and his contemporaries did with Impressionism, projection mapping and immersive experiences are shaking up the art world in a way we’ve never seen before. We are eager to bring their bright colors and magnificent beauty back to Lighthouse ArtSpace Phoenix.”

The visual spectacle gives viewers a glimpse into Parisian life during the late 19th-century Impressionist Movement, which featured art that often had themes of everyday life instead of historical and mythological themes that had been favored at the time, according to the release.

Along with the video projections, the experience also has original and curated music by multimedia composer Luca Longobardi that provides a “dreamlike journey between classic impressionist music and a contemporary cinematic score,” according to the release.

The return of Immersive Monet and The Impressionists is happening alongside Immersive Van Gogh at the experiential entertainment multi-plex.
