PHOENIX — BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse debuted in Goodyear last week, bringing a new dining option to West Valley residents and visitors in time for the new year.
The venue opened Dec. 28 in the city’s downtown GSQ district at McDowell Road and 150th Drive.
The 7,500-square-foot establishment can seat about 250 patrons. It’s open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sundays-Thursdays and 11 a.m. to midnight Fridays-Saturdays.
BJ’s has been one of the most requested restaurants in Goodyear’s retail surveys, placing No. 2 in 2019 and No. 3 in 2021, the city said.
The Southern California-based chain is known for its handcrafted beers and a wide-ranging food menu that features deep-dish pizzas, pasta, burgers, salads and more.
The Goodyear restaurant is BJ’s fifth Valley location and its furthest west. The chain also has two Tucson spots among its 200-plus outlets in 29 states.
“We are excited to open our sixth and final restaurant of the year in Goodyear, Arizona,” Greg Levin, the company’s CEO and president, said in a press release.
“Arizona has been an incredible market for us for over 20 years. The new Goodyear location joins our six other high-performing restaurants in the market.”
GSQ is a mixed-used, walkable downtown area under development north of McDowell Road between Bullard Avenue and PebbleCreek Parkway.
The district includes the Harkins Theatres Estrella Falls 16 and the new Goodyear City Hall and Civic Square Park.
