Police seek suspect after 9 injured in shooting at Phoenix business

PHOENIX — Police are looking for a suspect involved in a shooting that left nine people injured at a business in Phoenix on Saturday, authorities said.

Officers responded to the scene near 19th Avenue and Indian School Road around 4 a.m. and found victims suffering from gunshot wounds, the Phoenix Police Department said in a press release.

After authorities took several victims to local hospitals they learned other victims had been driven to hospitals before police arrived.

One victim was a woman who was pregnant. Her injuries did not affect the pregnancy.

Each victim’s injury was the result of gunshot wounds and were not life-threatening. Police released the ages of six victims: 19-year-old man, 20-year-old man, two 21-year-old men, 23-year-old man, 20-year-old woman.

The incident occurred at a party hosted at the business when two individuals got into an argument, police said.

Detectives said they believe other victims could be involved in the incident.
