PHOENIX — Two people were killed and another was injured in two separate shootings in Phoenix on Sunday night, authorities said.
Officers responded to the first incident near Camelback Road and 43rd Avenue around 9:40 p.m., the Phoenix Police Department said Monday morning.
They found a man, later identified as 24-year-old Redrick Roy, in the roadway with gunshot wounds. Roy died after being taken to a hospital. No other details were made available.
About half an hour later, a call came in about a shooting on the other side of town, near Broadway Road and 48th Street, just south of Interstate 10.
Responding officers found two men with gunshot wounds at the scene. Both were taken to a hospital, where one of the men, 21-year-old Dae’shundric Crowder, was pronounced dead. The other man had injuries that aren’t life-threatening.
There may have been an argument that led up to the second incident, police said.
The investigations into both shootings are ongoing.
