PHOENIX — A new sports cards and apparel shop is coming to the Roosevelt Row Arts District in downtown Phoenix.

Rip Valley is planning a soft opening in January before a grand opening celebration later in the month.

The shop will be located at 1014 N. Second Street, near Carly’s Bistro, and will offer breaking experiences, sealed wax and single cards, sneakers and other apparel.

Breaking experiences — opening boxes — will be available live, via streaming or hybrid, and the store plans to host multi-round tournament-style breaks.

“We will continue to offer virtual opportunities, but with many of our breaks we will offer the ability to be live in the shop having a beer and watching a game while participating in breaks,” Rip Valley partner and founder of 12th Man Breaks Brandon Dixon said in a press release.

Rip Valley will also host athlete appearances, signings and special events.

The concept was started by self-proclaimed fanatical sports cards “junkies” in 2021. The group partnered with House of Form, a boutique hospitality design firm in Phoenix.

We want to hear from you.
