Teenage boy kidnapped, man shot in overnight Phoenix home invasion

PHOENIX — A teenage boy was kidnapped and a man was shot in an overnight home invasion in Phoenix, authorities said.

Officers responded to an unknown trouble call Monday around 3:15 a.m. near 91st Avenue and Indian School Road, the Phoenix Police Department said in a press release.

Police said 17-year-old Jesse Camacho was kidnapped by two armed men from inside the home and taken in a dark-colored sedan in an unknown direction.

A man sleeping inside the home was shot and taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Camancho remained missing as of Tuesday afternoon and no arrests have been made.
