2 found shot inside vehicle parked in Buckeye neighborhood

PHOENIX – One person died and another was seriously wounded Monday night in a West Valley shooting that authorities are investigating as a homicide.
A man and a woman were found shot inside a vehicle in Buckeye near Miller Road and Southern Avenue around 9:30 p.m., the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies were sent to the location to check on reports of shots fired.
MCSO said in a press release Tuesday afternoon both people were taken to the hospital, where the woman died.
The woman was later identified as 19-year-old Emilie Gomez. The wounded man is the same age, MCSO said.
No suspect has been found, and the investigation is ongoing.
