Federal American Grill, a restaurant concept based in Houston, will open its first Arizona location in Scottsdale in the coming weeks.

The chain, which was founded by Matt Brice in 2013, has taken over a 7,200-square-foot standalone building in the Scottsdale 101 Shopping Center off of the Loop 101 and Mayo Blvd. on the boarder of Phoenix and Scottsdale.

For most of 2022, Federal American Grill has been renovating the building formerly occupied by Denny’s and The Elephant Bar before that. Brice, who is the owner and CEO of the brand, said the Scottsdale location will open at the end of December or early January.

Besides the large dining space, Federal American Grill will have two private dining areas that can accommodate 20 and 60 people, and it will have a 2,000 square-foot patio.
