This week’s Think Tank guest is Dr. Lawrence Krauss.

Krauss is a world-renowned physicist, public intellectual and public advocate for science. He is also currently host of a video podcast, The Origins Podcast.

He has been a guest on the Think Tank several times and is one of my all-time favorite guests.

As always with Dr. Krauss, our discussion is provocative, wide-ranging, insightful and fun.

We consider:

    • Are we headed toward a New Dark Age, where facts no longer matter?
    • Have even our universities, supposedly the bastion of rationality, adopted practices which constrain unfettered inquiry?
    • What does the rejection of scientific principles portend for the ability to formulate rational public policy?
    • We will even tie some of this discussion to the election earlier this week. Loosely.

Bonus for Think Tank listeners: Dr. Krauss is in Phoenix to host a two-night event this coming week at the Orpheum Theatre featuring Richard Dawkins and several Nobel Prize winners. Think Tank listeners have the opportunity to win one of five pairs of free tickets to the event. Listen to the show for details.

The Think Tank airs on KTAR 92.3 FM on Saturday 6-7 p.m. and Sunday 9-10 p.m.

Podcasts are available after broadcast. Older shows are archived at www.mikeoneil.org

We want to hear from you.
