Look out: 4 metro Phoenix freeways to have closures this weekend

PHOENIX — It’ll be a busy weekend on metro Phoenix freeways with four closures, according to state transportation officials.
Near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, eastbound Interstate 10 will be closed from the State Route 51 “mini-stack” interchange to U.S. 60 from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday for Broadway Curve Improvement Project work.
The eastbound I-10 on-ramps between Third Street and Broadway Road, and southbound Interstate 17 on-ramps at Seventh Avenue and Seventh Street will be closed.
In north Phoenix, northbound I-17 will be closed from Northern Avenue to Thunderbird Road from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for Valley Metro light rail bridge construction.

The northbound I-17 on-ramps at Bethany Home Road and Glendale Avenue will be closed.
In the north Valley, the westbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be closed from Pima Road/Princess Drive and SR 51 from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for lane striping work.
The northbound Loop 101 on-ramps at Cactus Road, Raintree Drive and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard will be closed. So will the westbound Loop 101 on-ramps from Pima Road to Tatum Boulevard.
Also in the north Valley, westbound Loop 303 will be closed from Interstate 17 to Lake Pleasant Parkway from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for construction.
The I-17 off-ramps at Loop 303 will be restricted to Sonoran Desert Drive.
Finally, the southbound Loop 101 Agua Fria Freeway will be narrowed to one lane each night in northwest Valley from 75th Avenue to Thunderbird Road from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday.
