In the three-minute excerpt from an upcoming episode of “The Problem With Jon Stewart,” Stewart asks Brnovich to state that the 2020 Arizona presidential election wasn’t stolen or fraudulent.
“The fact is, the election in Arizona was well-run, not fraudulent and not stolen from Donald Trump, according to even your investigation,” Stewart says.
“Why is it so hard to just say yes to that?”
Brnovich’s reluctance, even though he acknowledges that Donald Trump lost, appears to exasperate Stewart.
The clip concludes with the following exchange:
Stewart: “In your mind you feel like after all this, you’re going to discover a concerted effort to steal the election from Donald Trump, and that it was fraudulent. Is that what you’re saying?”
Brnovich: “No, that’s not what I’m saying.”
Stewart: “So why can’t you say the election in 2020 was not stolen or fraudulent?”
Brnovich: “I will tell you this, as I said, …”
Stewart: “This is blowing my mind.”
Brnovich: “Is it really?”
The full interview is scheduled for release Friday on “The Problem With Jon Stewart” in an episode titled “Midterms: This Is What Democracy Looks Like?”
