PHOENIX — The tenth annual Spooktacular Hot Air Balloon Festival is making its way to Scottsdale this weekend.

The festival, which features over 20 hot air balloons on display, is set to take place Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Salt River Fields, event organizers said in a press release.

There’ll also be more than 4,000 pounds of candy, live music, food and beverages and tethered balloon rides.

The free kids zone will feature 30 slides and attractions, including inflatable bounce houses, slides and an obstacle course.

Adults and children will also get the chance to showcase their best costumes in the nightly contests, which starts at 7 p.m., for a chance to win a variety of prizes.

Admission into the event is $22 for adults and $17 for children between the ages of 3 and 12. Children ages 0 to 2 will received free admission.

Participants can also purchase separate tickets to ride a hot air balloon, with tickets starting at $25 for adults and $15 for those ages 10 and under.

Additionally, event goers can donate dry food to Musically Fed, a non-profit organization that aims to mobilize the music industry in the fight against hunger.

Items that will be accepted include boxes of pasta, oatmeal, cereal, nuts, canned fruits, soup and dry beans.

We want to hear from you.
