PHOENIX – A car fire did damage to the exterior of a large home in Phoenix on Sunday night but no one was injured, first responders said.
The Phoenix Fire Department said crews were sent to a house near 15th Avenue and Thunderbird Road on Moon Mountain around 9:25 p.m. and arrived to see a car burning.
Flames had already spread to the attic space directly above the car. Firefighters were aggressive and were able to keep the blaze from reaching inside the house, which public records listed at 9,241 square feet with 8.3 bathrooms.
The homeowners were not displaced, firefighters said.
No other details were made available.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
