Suspect arrested after allegedly stabbing, killing a man in Phoenix

PHOENIX — A suspect was arrested over the weekend for fatally stabbing a man in Phoenix, authorities said.

Officers responded to a stabbing emergency near 36th Street and Thomas Road around 2 p.m. Saturday and made contact with the victim and a suspect, the Phoenix Police Department said in a press release.

Dassise LaBamba, 34, was arrested and booked into Fourth Avenue jail on one count of homicide.

The victim, identified later as Brandon Bailey, was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing.
