2 people shot, 1 left dead after alleged house party shooting in Phoenix

PHOENIX — One man died and one woman was injured on Saturday after dozens of gunshots were fired at what was believed to be a house party in Phoenix, authorities said.

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting in the early morning near Camelback Road and 27th Avenue, the Phoenix Police Department said in a press release.

When police arrived, numerous vehicles and pedestrians were seen quickly leaving the neighborhood after numerous bullets were fired along a large area of the neighborhood.

Authorities learned that two people were being treated for gunshot wounds at nearby hospitals.

19-year-old Jarod Tyler was pronounced dead a the hospital, authorities said.

A 24-year-old female received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing as police talk to all involved suspects and try to identify what led to the events.
