I-17 closure in north Phoenix, I-10 closure in East Valley among weekend restrictions

PHOENIX — Closures scattered across four metro Phoenix freeways will slow down drivers this weekend, according to state transportation officials.
In north Phoenix, northbound Interstate 17 will be closed from Thunderbird Road to Yorkshire Drive from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a pavement improvement project.
The on-ramps from Northern Avenue to Bell Road will also be closed during that time.
In the East Valley, eastbound Interstate 10 will be closed from U.S. 60 to the Loop 202 Santan Freeway from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday for paving as part of the Broadway Curve Improvement Project.
The westbound U.S. 60 ramp to eastbound I-10 and eastbound I-10 on-ramps at 40th Street and Broadway Road will be closed. So will the eastbound U.S. 60 off- and on-ramps at Mill Avenue.
In Chandler, eastbound Loop 202 will be closed from 40th Street to Kyrene Road from 1 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday for pavement sealing. All I-10 ramps to eastbound Loop 202 will be closed.
Also, westbound Loop 202 will be closed from I-10 to 40th Street from 1 a.m. to 4 pm. for pavement season. All I-10 ramps to westbound Loop 202 will be closed.
In the west Valley, the southbound Loop 101 Agua Fria Freeway will be closed from Camelback to Indian School roads from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for overhead sign work.
The southbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Cardinals Way will also be closed.
Finally, westbound I-10 in Phoenix will be narrowed to two lanes from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and 10 p.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Monday for Broadway Curve bridge work.
