PHOENIX – Two suspects, including a teenage boy, were arrested after a fatal shooting Tuesday night outside a Phoenix restaurant, authorities said.
Gilberto Millan, 20, allegedly took a gun out of a vehicle driven by the teen and shot Jesus Gonzalez Berrelleza in a parking lot near 59th Avenue and McDowell Road, the Phoenix Police Department said in a press release.
Officers responded to area around 6:30 p.m. and found Gonzalez Berrelleza, 30, with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe Millan, the victim and an unknown male were arguing before the shooting occurred.
The teen drove up at some point and Millan allegedly got a gun from the teen’s vehicle before shooting Gonzalez Berrelleza, police said.
The two suspects left the area, but officers located them at different locations and took them into custody.
Millan was booked into Maricopa County Jail on one count of first-degree murder, police said.
The teen, whose name wasn’t released because of his age, was taken into juvenile detention custody for facilitation to commit first-degree murder.
