PHOENIX — It wasn’t a pretty season opener on Sunday for the Arizona Cardinals.
Team radio analyst and host Ron Wolfley joined KTAR News 92.3 FM’s The Mike Broomhead Show on Monday to discuss the Cardinals’ 44-21 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
“They lost this game to me on the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball,” Wolfley said. “Offensively, they could not run the ball the way they needed to be able to run the ball and defensively they could not stop the run.”
Wolfley also discussed what’s next for Arizona, which travels to Las Vegas next Sunday to play the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium.
“You have to be able to tell the truth. You got your butt kicked. You did not play well,” Wolfley said. “It was a failure on every level and everybody played a part in it.
“You’ve got to admit that and you’ve got to move on. But you’ve got to admit that truth to begin with and as a football player, challenge yourself to make sure it never happens again.”
