OdySea Aquarium resumes shark, sloth, penguin, stingray experiences

Sep 3, 2022, 7:15 AM | Updated: 7:52 pm

PHOENIX – Just in time for Labor Day weekend, OdySea Aquarium in Scottsdale is resuming animal experiences featuring sharks, sloths, penguins and stingrays.

“We are so happy to bring back our popular animal encounters and tours, giving guests a unique, small-group setting where they can get up-close and learn about their favorite animals,” OdySea Aquarium President Greg Charbeneau said in a press release.

Visitors to the aquarium on Via de Ventura just east of the Loop 101 Pima Freeway can again participate in behind-the scenes shark tours, sloth and penguin encounters and stingray feedings. Each experience requires a fee on top the admission price.

The tours and encounters are available on weekends and select weekdays starting Saturday. The aquarium’s website has information about availability and prices.

“Participants will be close enough to see an animal’s adaptations, learn what it takes to care for these incredible creatures and ask important questions of our experts,” Charbeneau said. “And there is nothing more rewarding for our team than to share their love and knowledge of the animal world with our guests.”

OdySea Aquarium, part of the Arizona Boardwalk entertainment center, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is discounted after 4:30 p.m.

We want to hear from you.
