PHOENIX — The Arizona Humane Society is offering free adoptions on Saturday in honor of NBCUniversal’s monthlong Clear the Shelters campaign.

About 200 dogs, cats and other animals are available for adoptions at AHS’ two locations.

All pets are spayed or neutered, are up to date on vaccines, are microchipped, will receive a free follow-up vet exam and get 30 days of pet insurance.

Adoptions open at the South Mountain shelter, located at 1521 W. Dobbins Road, at 10 a.m.

Adoptions are available from 11 a.m. at the Scottsdale location at the PetSmart at 4380 N. Miller Road.

No appointments are needed and adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis.
