PHOENIX – Popular fast-food chain White Castle announced plans to open a restaurant in Tempe next year, its second location in Arizona.
The family-owned company said Thursday the 2,800-square-foot site, near Interstate 10 and Warner Road, will open in the first half of 2023.
“We’re really looking forward to satisfying even more cravings in the Valley of the Sun,” Jamie Richardson, vice president of White Castle, said in a press release.

“Our friends and fans have given our Scottsdale location such an incredible reception. We’re excited to offer them another location where they can satisfy their White Castle crave.”
A staff of 60 will be hired.
The Scottsdale restaurant at Pima Freeway Loop 101 and Via de Ventura opened in October 2019. The drive-thru there operates 24 hours a day, seven days a weeks.
The new restaurant will feature the same menu of sliders, french fries, onion rings, desserts and breakfast eats.
White Castle has been in business since 1921, launching in Columbus Ohio.
