State Route 143 closure near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport to disrupt drivers this weekend

PHOENIX — A State Route 143 closure near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is one of several closures that will disrupt drivers this weekend.

Southbound SR 143 will be closed from the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway to Interstate 10 from 10 p.m. Friday to 10 p.m. Sunday for work-zone setup and utility work as part of the I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project.

All on-ramps to southbound SR 143 will be closed. Drivers going to the airport should use 44th Street.

Also, the northbound SR 143 will be closed from I-10 to Washington Street from 10 p.m. Saturday for 4 a.m. Monday for Broadway Curve work.

Airport drivers should use westbound I-10 at Buckeye Road.

In west Phoenix, westbound I-10 will be closed from 51st to 75th avenues from 9 p.m. Saturday to 2 p.m. Sunday for new lane striping.

The northbound Loop 202 ramp to westbound I-10 and the westbound I-10 ramps at 27th, 35th and 43rd avenues will also be closed.

In the south Valley, eastbound I-10 will be narrowed to three lanes from Elliot to Warner roads from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday for Broadway Curve work.

The eastbound I-10 on-ramp at Elliot Road and eastbound off-ramp at Warner Road will be closed.

In Chandler, the right two lanes of the northbound Loop 101 Price Freeway will be closed from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday for pavement maintenance.

The Loop 101 on- and off-ramps between Warner and Baseline roads will be closed.

Finally, the State Route 51 ramps at Glendale Avenue will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday and 9 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday for a pavement project.
