PHOENIX — A retail bike shop in metro Phoenix relocated to an expanded storefront in Anthem last month, with a larger capacity for inventory and repairs.
Sunset Cyclery, a retailer of new and used bikes, opened shop at its newest location near Interstate 17 and Anthem Way on July 25.
The location is about 60% larger than the previous, and totals 2,600-square-feet of retail space, according to a press release.
A grand opening will be held Aug. 25 from 3 p.m.-7 p.m., with several board members of the Anthem Area Chamber of Commerce expected to attend.
“Sales from new customers and repeat sales from current customers mean we need more capacity for growth,” Cary Westmark, co-owner of Sunset Cyclery, said in the release.
“This new location will allow us to provide even faster turnaround times on repairs and bring in more bike and scooter inventory.”
Its previous location was near Daisy Mountain Drive and Anthem Way.
Sunset Cyclery serves surrounding communities: Anthem; New River; Black Canyon City; Desert Hills and northwest Phoenix.
“Anthem is a great cycling and mountain biking community, with more than 100 miles of trails within a short ride,” Alison Ryan, co-owner, said in the release. “This neighborhood deserves a friendly and efficient bike shop.”
