I-10 closure near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport among freeway restrictions this weekend

PHOENIX — A closure of Interstate 10 near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport is among the restrictions on Valley freeways this weekend.
Westbound I-10 is scheduled to be closed between the U.S. 60 Superstition Freeway and the State Route 143 from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday for bridge work as part of the Broadway Curve Improvement Project, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Also closed for the project are westbound U.S. 60 and southbound SR 143 ramps to westbound I-10, I-10 on-ramps between Elliot and Broadway roads, as well as U.S. 60 westbound on-ramps at McClintock Drive and Mill Avenue.
In Buckeye, westbound I-10 will be narrowed to one lane between Verrado Way and Miller Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project.

In the East Valley, State Route 24 is scheduled to be closed in both directions between the Loop 202 Santan Freeway and Ellsworth Road from 5 a.m. Saturday to 6 p.m. Sunday for construction.
In north Phoenix, eastbound Thunderbird Road will be closed near Interstate 17 from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Wednesday for road work as part of a regional drainage system project.
Drivers are also advised to expect I-17 ramp closures or restrictions at the Thunderbird Road interchange, ADOT said.
In Chandler, the northbound Loop 101 Price Freeway right lane is scheduled to be closed between Chandler Boulevard and Warner Road from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday for pavement maintenance.
Closed for the project are the northbound Loop 101 on- and off-ramps between Chandler Boulevard and Warner Road.
