Police investigating deadly money dispute in Ahwatukee

PHOENIX — Police are investigating a deadly shooting that began with a money dispute that occurred in Ahwatukee on Saturday night.

Officers responded to the area of 44th Street and Windsong Drive about gunfire, authorities said.

They found 23-year-old Thomas Marble suffering from a gunshot wound in his chest. Witnesses told police they heard multiple shots fired, and officers detained another adult male involved in the shooting, authorities said.

Marble was taken to a local hospital where he died of his injuries.

Officers learned Marble confronted another male regarding a money dispute when he got shot and collapsed.

The investigation remains active and no arrests have been made, authorities said.
