PHOENIX — Artichoke Basille’s Pizza recently announced it would be opening its third Valley location at Desert Ridge Marketplace in north Phoenix.
The restaurant will open in late summer next to Copper Blues Live at the shopping and entertainment center that is north of the Loop 101 Pima Freeway at Tatum Boulevard, according to a press release.
“We’re thrilled to be opening our third Arizona location and to be expanding our reach throughout the bright and vibrant community in Phoenix, especially within a complex that has many options for visitors to enjoy,” Francis Garcia, co-founder of Artichoke Basille’s Pizza, said in the release.
“We have full confidence that our Arizona franchisees will continue doing the great work of spreading Artichoke magic across the state of Arizona.”
It’s the second Phoenix location for the New York-style pizza concept, the other being at 6031 N. 16th Street, with another shop in Tempe at 1120 E. Baseline Road.
The 3,510-square-foot restaurant will have antiqued tin ceilings and exposed brick walls, in addition to two garage doors with one leading to an outdoor patio and the other situated over a full-service bar.
The “inside-out” rectangle bar will have various wines and cocktails available, in addition to 12-16 beers on tap, to pair with the restaurant’s signature menu items like the namesake Artichoke Pie and unconventional Crab Pie.
The menu also features classic New York-style pizzas like margherita, pepperoni and meatball, in addition to sandwiches, desserts and salads.
Artichoke Basille’s Pizza has 16 locations nationwide, with shops in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and California.
The pizza shop is among six new tenants coming to Desert Ridge Marketplace this spring and summer, joining Sid’s Garage, Fly Bye, Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, Keep It Cut and Radi8 Hot Yoga.
