PHOENIX — The Chandler Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying the suspect involved in an overnight shooting last week.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 3:16 a.m. on March 16 at an apartment complex near Arizona Avenue and Warner Road and found a victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The suspect was seen on surveillance video burglarizing a vehicle, when he was interrupted and shot the victim, according to authorities.

Police said the suspect is a male likely in his late teens or early twenties, and was wearing a red facemask, dark pants, dark colored shoes, and a blue shirt under a light-colored long-sleeved shirt or jacket.

The identity of the victim wasn’t released.

The Chandler Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding the case to contact them at 480-782-4130 or Silent Witness to remain anonymous at 480-WITNESS (948-6377).

We want to hear from you.
