PHOENIX – Williams-Sonoma, the home furnishings company that counts Pottery Barn and West Elm among its brands, signed a lease for massive fulfillment and distribution center in Glendale, the West Valley city announced Wednesday.
The 1.25 million-square-foot facility – bigger than 20 football fields – is expected to be operational by this fall in The Cubes at Glendale industrial park at Reems Road and Northern Avenue, near Luke Air Force Base.
The distribution center, where orders for all Williams-Sonoma brands will be fulfilled, will create 2,400 jobs by 2027, according to a press release.
The company sells home furnishings online, via catalog and in stores as Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, Pottery Barn Teen, West Elm, Williams Sonoma Home, Rejuvenation and Mark and Graham.
“I am proud that they have chosen to join Glendale’s impressive list of distribution facilities,” Mayor Jerry Weiers said in the release.
Williams-Sonoma is following Nestlé, Red Bull, Amazon and Mark Anthony Brewing (maker of White Claw hard seltzers) into Glendale’s Loop 303 Corridor.
