PHOENIX — A Glendale woman was released from custody without being charged after shooting her boyfriend early Monday, but the investigation into the domestic violence incident continues.
“There are conflicting statements between the parties involved and it will take some time and further investigation to determine exactly what occurred,” Sgt. Randy Stewart of the Glendale Police Department said in a press release.
“We will not be able to release any names of the involved parties at this time.”
The woman told police she shot the man because he was trying to break into her home near 51st and Glendale Avenues after he’d threatened to kill her.
The man was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said Monday afternoon he was in stable condition.
