Remains of previously missing adult male found outside Phoenix home

PHOENIX — Police are conducting an investigation after the remains of a 44-year-old man were found outside a Phoenix home on Saturday.

Officers responded to a call for service in the area near 35th and Alice avenues around 12:30 a.m. about a dead body outside, Phoenix police said in a press release.

When police arrived on the scene, officers found the remains of an adult male in an advanced stage of decomposition, according to police.

The body was identified as Maison Whitson, who was reported missing earlier this year.

Detectives have contacted witnesses but the investigation remains ongoing.
