Mixed-use development approved for Gilbert’s Heritage Park

PHOENIX — Three real estate firms and developers announced Thursday they will begin construction on a mixed-use community in the Heritage District in Gilbert later this year.

The project — called Heritage Park — will include an estimated 154,000-square-foot, five-story office building, a 288-unit apartment community and room for five or more on-site restaurants and retail spaces, officials from real estate investment firm Creation said in a press release.

Construction is set to begin in the third quarter of 2022, with plans to be completed in 2024 by a joint venture between Creation, FCP, and Crescent Communities, the release said.

The park will sit at the north side of downtown Gilbert’s Heritage District and feature over 30 restaurants and community events, including a farmer’s market and live music at Water Tower Plaza.

“It has been extremely rewarding to be part of Downtown Gilbert’s growth and see it turn into the dynamic downtown core it is today,” Creation co-founder David Sellers said in the press release.

“Heritage Park will be the fourth development our team has led in downtown Gilbert, and we knew bringing in Crescent Communities and FCP would make this our most successful project to date.”
